When it comes to the things I put on my skin, it's not often I add new products in to the mix. My skin is so sensitive and trying a new product is always risky business. For pretty much the entirety of 2018 I have used the same 4 face masks on rotation and been quite happy in my little safety zone. But if there's one thing that I'm a sucker for, it's a product to claiming to tackle oil and pores. So for just £4 each I thought these Soap & Glory masks were worth a try. I picked up What A Peeling De-Clog Mask and The Fab Pore Sheet Mask. I already have, love and constantly repurchase the Soap & Glory Fab Pore 2 in 1 Mask & Peel so figured I couldn't go far wrong with these.

Lets start with the sheet mask. It claims to give 'instant pore-fection - clean, healthy-looking skin and a shine-free, matte complexion'. Now, I'm all for anything that is claiming to give me 'instant mattification' so I had high hopes. Now, I never know how I feel about a sheet mask. I don't use them that often and always think they're a bit of a faff. This one didn't stay on easy and I had to lie down to keep it in place, which is exactly why I don't often use sheet masks, I like to be able to do things while my mask is on. I suppose it's a good oppertunity to switch off for a bit but 20 minutes is quite a long time to be doing nothing.

I always use a face mask before a night out to try and eliminate as much oil as possible and give my make up a fighting chance of lasting through out the night, so I thought that would be the perfect situation to test this mask. The scent was really nice and fresh and you can really feel that tingly sensation as it gets to work on your skin.  My face definitely felt fresh and clean after and all the usual oil seemed to have been banished. My skin felt lovely and my pores felt like they were no longer harbouring little puddles of grease. I mean don't get me wrong, my pores were definitely still there and didn't by some miracle suddenly disappear - they still obviously still existed, but in a very acceptable, no longer detest them kinda way. Throughout the night I didn't seem to get oily enough for my make up to break down which I like to think was thanks to the mask and I will definitely be repurchasing to test it out a bit more.

Next up, the peel off mask. It comes with two little pots of product and a small spatula for your scooping needs. The product is a sort of gel like consistency and bright pink which I wasn't expecting, I don't know why. It claims to 'help remove dirt and impurities - ideal on a problem T-Zone'.
There is plenty of product in one pot - more than I needed to cover my entire face but not quite enough to get two full uses out of it. Unlike the previous mask, I could go about the house and get things done for the 25 minutes that this was on my face - I did give my Asda Groceries delivery man a lovely treat for his eyes when I took my order in but needs must. Peeling this off was a bit of an eye watering experience, especially as I think I may have applied it a bit too close to my eyes and it started to pull on the looser bits of skin - which was a lovely reminder of the fact I'm getting older and have wrinkles now. Oo and on the sides of my face where it caught in the fine hairs - ouch. But honestly, as far as peel of masks go this definitely isn't the worst in terms of pain.
Afterwards, my skin did go a little red and seemed a bit grumpy with me for a bit but that calmed down fairly quickly. My skin felt soft and very faintly tingly for a bit. I know it's such a cliché to say but, my skin really did feel like it was breathing in fresh air. It by no means blew me away but my face just felt really clean and refreshed and it was nice. I haven't use the second pot yet but I plan to and if I have similar results again I will probably repurchase.
