Snapshots from Rome

5 Moments in Rome:

Dragging our heavy cases through hectic Rome in the midday heat (over 30 degrees) for over half an hour trying to navigate the way to our Air B&B with the help of Google Maps to find out it was next door to a gelato place. That first taste of hazelnut gelato after that hot and sweaty trek - it was bliss!

After unpacking our cases we decided to go for a wander and discovered our apartment was opposite Jo Malone and surrounded by designer stores and posh hotels. As we turned the corner a whole crowd of people were stood waiting pointing their phones at a hotel door. And then out came Antonio Banderas! What a dish... and a very exciting start to our Rome trip!

Taking the to the streets of Rome at 6am and seeing all the sights with out the crowds. It was magical, peaceful and so worth it! It felt like we practically had Rome to ourselves and it was one of my favourite moments!

That first glimpse of the Colosseum IRL. No photo can translate that.

Eating gelato (again) by the Trevi Fountain at night to the sound of Italian street music. Such a dreamy moment that I never wanted to end.
