What's In My Basket | Boots

Online shopping has become a bit like an addictive game recently. While my mum spends the evening swiping around on the latest Candy Crush Saga, I browse through endless online stores, lusting after products and adding countless items to my basket. But I don't actually buy anything. I'll 'umm' and 'ahh' over things for ages because pressing the checkout button and actually parting with my hard earned cash isn't a decision to be taken lately. So I'm forever in a state of having numerous products in baskets in stores all over the internet. I'd never behave this way in a real shop, just running around like I'm on Supermarket Sweep with Dale Winton, throwing stuff in my basket. Not with no real intention to buy. But that's why I like online shopping. I can keep stuff in my basket and take time to think about my purchases. I can do my research and read reviews on blogs and make a well informed decision. I can change my mind and swap and change things out. And, I can wait until I actually have the appropriate bank balance for such a purchase. Of course sometimes coming back to my basket when I've decided to commit and then seeing those three little words 'out of stock' is a bit of a heart sinking moment, but que sera sera. (Haha, did I actually just quote Doris Day? I think I did). Anyway, with all these potential purchases patiently waiting for my return, I thought I'd share them with you. It's always interesting to see what other people are buying/thinking of buying. And then if you've actually tried any of the products yourself you can be like my advisors and either be all 'NOO! Don't get that it's a steaming pile of turd.' or 'YES! Get that it's the most magical thing in the world.'

Today's basket is Boots. I've chosen Boots because I'm running low on a lot of skin care and my usual eyeliner has dried up, and I keep revisiting this bloody basket and adding in extras and then talking myself out of them. Infact, I've been messing about with this basket for so long I've now officially run out of eye make up remover and the pressure is now on to make a bloody decision.

I thought I'd split this in to skin care and make up because there's just that much (insert grimace here). First up we've got cosmetics.

I'd love to know if you have tried any of these products and if you would/wouldn't recommend them before I part with my poor little pennies.

  3. I'm exactly the same, it's genuinely an addiction. I haven't got the benefit watts up highlighter myself, but my friend recently purchased it and she was really disappointed with it as it didn't do much. Hope that kinda helps you make a decision on whether to get it or not! Xxx

  4. The Nuxe lip balm is the best. You'd love it! I swear by it since I've discovered it years ago. Super thick and moisturising. They're Real is also amazing, but you must know that already! I haven't tried the other products, but I'm sure the NYX lip cream is great :)

  5. Honestly everything in your basket looks amazing. I'd struggle to resist the urge just to purchase everything at once. I'm such a bad online shopper, constantly trying to stop myself.

  6. I don't find the Nuxe RĂªve de Miel all that good. It's quite OK but it hasn't wowed me like I thought it would after hearing such amazing things about it. I love Boots and I'm happy that they have started selling Soap & Glory on their international site as it is one of my favourite brands and it was hard to come by. Whenever I'm in the UK I spend hours and hours in Boots.

  7. Okay, so I know absolutely nothing about makeup and am afraid I will be zero help to you in that department. But oh my god your "steaming pile of turd" comment really made me chuckle hahah. Your written voice is so entertaining.

I really enjoyed reading this! And good luck resist the lure of online shopping (I for one, haven't mastered that yet).
