Sunday Skincare Haul

Hi guys!

Sunday is here already.

Is it just me or is Sunday such a bittersweet day?

Yes it's still the weekend. But it's the weekend-end. I can feel monday looming over me all day like a bad smell. I never feel like doing anything on a Sunday. I always think 'Aw but I have to get dressed and go outside tomorrow, I think I should have just one day where I don't have to bother with all that'.  Especially at this time of year, I just want to stay in my PJ's and fluffy socks. I realise that's quite a bad attitude to Sundays, and I am trying to change that and be a bit more proactive. But who says you can't be productive, while still in your PJ's? Last Sunday, for instance, I rebooted my skin care regime with quite a big haul from Boots. I researched, I read reviews, and I put a whole load of products in my basket, while still in my unicorn printed PJ's, and I never had to leave the couch or the warmth of my blanket. Even better than that, my package arrived midweek, making my Wednesday considerably more exciting. So, here's what I bought.

Some of these are repurchases, and some are completely new. Obviously this isn't my whole skincare routine, I'd be a bit worried if all my products from my usual routine just ran out all at once and I had to go out and buy an entire routine all in one go. I think that'd be quite a shock to the poor old bank balance. These are products I've either run out of or have been wanting to try.

Simple - Soothing Facial Toner
I love this product, I've been using it for more years than I can count, and my sensitive skin adores this stuff. It's the last product I use before applying moisturiser.

Clinique - Clarifying Lotion 3
If you've been reading my blog a while, you'll be aware of my love hate relationship with this product, and the turbulance we've been through. If you're want, you can read about that here. And if you've just read that post, you'll be thinking, why on earth have I repurchased this? Basically, I've learned to love it. I mean, honestly, the pain this product caused me was pretty horrific. This product is way too strong for my sensitive skin, but nothing gets rid of my massive pores like this does. And as I said at the end of that post, I carried on using a tiny drop of this product on the end of my nose, where my pores were particularly large and my skin would dry out. I still carry on doing this, and I just could NOT live without it. I use literally one very small drop of this on a cotton wool pad and rub it on my nose and down the sides where my pores are just ridiculous. I only do this once a day, and the difference it makes to my skin is amazing, and my make up looks such much better on now. So while I wont be applying this all over my face in large quantities twice a day, I just had to buy it to continue using it solely on my nose. I've also taken to using the Simple Soothing Facial Toner straight after using this product, to calm my skin down and ensure there's no product lingering around and irritating me.

Avène - Cold Cream
New purchase
As Ned Stark once said, 'Winter is coming'. Which means I have to start taking the care of my lips more seriously. Usually, I have a bit of balm that will tide me over in the summer. But my lips consistently dry out in winter and often become a bit painful and crack. So, being quite a big fan of Avène I thought I would try out their lip cream. It's supposed to be for 'severe dryness'.  I haven't been using this long yet, but do expect a full review of this product soon.

Botanics - All Bright Micellar Cleansing Solution
Check out my review of this product right here. A no brainer for me that I would repurchase this.

Botanics -  All Bright Refreshing Eye Roll-On
New purchase
With the success I had for the All Bright Micellar Solution, I thought I should give this product a go. The morning are dull, and I struggle getting up. My eyes are all droopy and tired looking, so I thought a product to brighten that area up would be particularly useful. I've only just started using this, so expect an in depth review after a few weeks of trialling.

Botanics - Radiant Youth Replenishing Night Cream
New purchase
And again, swayed by my love for the Micellar Solution, I had to try out some more Botanics products. I don't think I've ever settled on a night cream, and I'm always trying out new ones. At 23, it's really important to me to be using a good night cream and start delaying the dreaded wrinkles. Again, I'll be posting a review of this when I've had enough time to see the effects.

L'Oréal Paris -  Youth Code Rejuvenating Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream

New purchase
After Boots discontinued my all time favourite Sk:n eye cream, I was on the hunt for another. My
mum uses the L'Oréal Laser Renew range and loves it. So I thought I would try the Youth Code range. I feel like I'm repeating myself a lot here, but, once again, keep an eye out for a review on this product in the near future!

So there you have it, my recent skincare haul. Have you used any of these products before? Or are there any you're wanting to try out? Let me know, and I'll be sure to check out your blog too :)
